Biography

Sophie T. Rauch

Rauch was born in Chicoutimi and has been working for many years as an artist. She studied in Austria as well as in Italy and has done many shows in Canada. She worked with many well known artists such as, Fritz Berger, Franz Jenull, Emilio Vedova and Sandro Chia. This particular formation has greatly contributed to her proximity to the milieu of the european contemporary painting.

“I have been questioning myself for many years about the topic of human identity. I am looking for the essence of beings since, through genetics and computer science , a metamorphosis is in the making. I hope one day to be able to reach the seed where the flower is hiding and unveil , in making abstraction of the ego , the substance , the core , which cannot be manipulated.”
- Sophie T. Rauch
